Pingo Doce (English: “sweet drop”) is the second largest supermarket chain in Portugal after Minipreço. Here you’ll find not only meat alternatives, vegan cookies and cereals, but also vegan “milk” products such as plant milk, yogurt, cream and ice cream. Pingo Doce can’t compete with the plant-based selection of the big stores like Jumbo, Intermarché, E.Leclerc and Continente though. However, the chain seems motivated, to produce and sell very cheap vegan products such as vanilla ice cream or yoghurt drinks by the store brand.
Of course, these were not all vegan products from Pingo Doce, but only those that caught our eye. Do you have any other vegan recommendations? Write them in the comments! 🙂
